Kathy is a founding partner of KMT Partners and the firm’s current Chair. With natural empathy and straight shooting style, Kathy has developed significant insight from mentoring businesses and individuals facing new challenges.
Throughout her 30+ year career, Kathy has advised clients across a range of business types, sizes and industries. For businesses, she provides advice and support for those setting out on a path to development and growth, facing governance and transparency concerns, fundraising, succession or transitioning their businesses for sale. She has assisted with negotiations, government grants and risk management. For individuals, she specialises in advising clients relocating from overseas to establish new ventures in Australia, and is passionate about designing wealth solutions for all her clients, as they set their goals for a comfortable retirement.
Prior to commencing her own business, Kathy worked for several, well-known accounting firms and held senior positions in the Tax Office. In studying forensic accounting, she expanded her portfolio to deliver expert reports on commercial, matrimonial and insurance related issues, with a view to litigation support both as an expert witness or expert consultant. She has been a member of several commercial and not-for-profit boards, an active supporter of her professional associations and continues her passion supporting multicultural assimilation and in particular, the Hungarian Consulate. Prior to her retirement, Kathy was a member of CPA, CA ANZ, and the Honorary Consul of Hungary in South Australia.
